(This happened near my school) I see a lot of these scooters in the bike lanes, after seeing one struggling to navigate a sweeping turn on the sidewalk I can see why, these are made to go straight or make tight turns gradual turns and the turns and narrow sidewalk widths to cross driveways could be very challenging to navigate. And once in the bike lane I doubt they appreciate the vehicular treatment of bike lanes disappearing before intersections, not to mention no access to pedestrian crossing buttons.

Complain!
One day east bound on Guadalupe bike lane before N Cooper Rd I hit a sewer cover that was 2" below the pavement and broke a spoke, not cool so I called it in to the town of Gilbert. A few weeks later on a club ride, someone forgot to call out the hazard and a couple more cyclist are downed by this recessed storm cover.
But yesterday I noticed that they filled in the "hole." That's going to be heck for the next guy to need to get in there but in the meantime for cyclists no more hazard in the bike lane. I like that a lot!
If you notice something on your route call it in and do other cyclists a favor.

Grand Canal Bike path is a POS
I just moved here and still learning the ropes so the best I could figure out who to write to, so I sent this email to the Phoenix office of Sustainability
I went to visit my step-dad in the VA Hospital by bike via the Grand Canal and I just could not believe how badly you guys messed it up, haven't you ever heard of bollards or half gates? For the most part the trail has solid fencing across the whole width of the trail forcing me to risk an encounter with the canal or other equally not suited for a road bike conditions way to frequently so I will avoid that POS in the future.
In one very humors case the fence was way wider then the trail so you made sure a closed locked gate had smooth pavement all the way out to the posts but not the trail users. Gates don't need pavement!!! Bike riders need pavement!!!
Seriously? [voice going up two octaves] I mean SERIOUSLY, you really think a locked gate needs extra pavement but not bike riders?.
How would you like it if I put up fencing around your house that you could "simply" just go around to the back to use your house? This is not accommodating the intended use, which is exactly what you did with this trail.
A trail with lots of full gates that make you go on and off the pavement is the same as no trail at all and is NOT accommodating cyclists!
This trail really desires national attention on how FUBAR a trail and make it unusable.
Sincerely,
A very disappointed cyclist.
